Andrea has been working in the coffee industry since 2002. As much as she loves coffee, it's really the people in the industry that drew her in and kept her in. She works as the head of operations at Onyx. She's also the 2020 United States Barista Champion and 2022 World Barista Runner Up. In her spare time, she enjoys distance running, horseback riding, and spending time with Jon and their two daughters

Jon has wide range of experience across multiple facets of the Specialty Coffee and hospitality sector, along with a background in international travel for green coffee purchasing as well as extensive experience as a creative director in charge of branding direction, marketing, architecture and consulting for the hospitality industry. At heart, Jon is a visionary whose creativity in entrepreneurship work in tandem with a strong passion to understand how products, social environments, and digital assets impact people and their financial responsibility. He has also focused deeply on exploring the intersection of philosophy and communication in the way we serve others. Outside of his career, Jon is deeply invested in his family and community. Jon lives on a small farm in Northwest Arkansas with his wife, USBC winner Andrea Allen, and their two daughters, River and Abishai. He’s an admirer of British entertainment, avid in exercise, cooking for his family, and reading philosophy, science fiction, and fantasy novels.

Chaz has a diverse background in sales and cross-functional leadership. In January 2022 he joined the Onyx team, and he now oversees our wholesale and grocery programs. An NWA transplant, Chaz has fallen in love with cycling and year-round golf. He currently resides in downtown Rogers.

Bear has been with Onyx through every season of its growth and is uniquely equipped to exceed your needs in everything from bulk coffee orders to brand collaborations. With over a decade of industry experience, Lance earned his coffee education through years of hands-on experience, as well as through countless hours of meticulous experimentation and research. After working with Onyx in various evolving roles in Arkansas for many years, Lance moved overseas to help Onyx launch their International Roastery Collective. In addition to working with cafes around the world to formulate and achieve their goals, Lance is also a respected digital educator on YouTube.

Amie Raskin is our Director of Northeast, Mid Atlantic and Midwest Sales. Amie is a long time coffee professional, hailing from LA and now residing in Brooklyn. She loves washed coffee and natural wines, lap swimming, and her two cats named Sweet Pea and Pippa. We are thrilled for her to lead our initiatives in the Northeast!

Hey, I’m Leyf.

I joined Onyx in 2021 as a barista and now serve as a wholesale representative, building partnerships rooted in care and intention.

My relationship with God has set the standard for how I serve others—with humility, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. Growing up in San Diego and surfing all over SoCal taught me reverence, how to challenge what’s feared, the patience to know that anything worth doing is worth doing well, and the treasure that can be discovered in building relationships—lessons I carry into every aspect of the adventures to come.

For me, coffee is about people. It’s a story of care, from seed to cup, and I’m stoked to share that story with those who value the details as much as I do. It’s for who it’s for, I’m ready when you are.

Elika joined Onyx Coffee Lab in 2015, just before the opening of the Downtown Bentonville café, and he has since served in several different roles inside Onyx. Elika has been a trainer since 2017, and he became head of the department in 2020. Elika is known for taking a technical approach to coffee brewing, which he expertly distills into approachable classes for baristas, wholesale partners, and members of our community. Elika is a highly awarded coffee competitor, holding multiple titles across both national and world levels of Brewer’s Cup. He loves brewing new coffees, trying out new tools, and playing pickelball.

Dakota Graff is our Director of Coffee and Green Buyer, and he is responsible for sourcing the highest-quality green coffee possible from producers worldwide. Dakota manages our coffee lineup and develops relationships and initiatives that benefit our producing partners. More than just someone who sources coffee, Dakota is a respected industry figure who freely shares his knowledge and passion through Onyx’s educational content and his participation in coffee competitions.

When not traveling the globe sourcing coffee, Dakota enjoys running, making pizza, and working in his wood shop.

Niki joined the Onyx Team as the Director of Social Media in January 2022. Since then she has become the Creative Director leading a team of individuals in all things Onyx Coffee Lab. From brand strategy to creative production, she directs and takes part in all things that craft Onyx’s story to tell to the world!

Jaxon joined the Onyx Team as the Manager of Social Media in November 2023.

In the role of Media and E-Commerce Manager, he helps manage all avenues of communication and media with the company's online following. Jaxon leverages media insights and analytics to understand how to better communicate our brand to our audience while providing engaging content for followers to experience. He also helps to coordinate and oversee the release of all retail and wholesale items in the Onyx product catalog.

Taking part in both content creation and creative marketing and advertising, he helps to tell the story of Onyx to the public through the means of digital media to drive sales and increase reach.

Morgan Eckroth joined the Onyx team as our Content Marketing Specialist in May of 2022. You can find her making entertaining and educational coffee content and holding down the title of The Internet’s Friendliest Barista. Morgan is the 2022 US Barista Champion and the 2022 World Barista Champion Runner Up.

Ted was fascinated with how things worked from a young age, and started to learn by watching others take things apart to fix them. He eventually started to do this on his own, and became more and more interested in fixing things. Now, Ted gets to do this as a job and enjoys figuring out how and why something is not working, and what it takes to repair. Here at Onyx, he gets to use his knowledge on a variety of equipment, ranging from a simple grinder to a large 70 kilo coffee roaster. Everyday there’s something else to learn about and fix.
